Browns Creek State Trail

Brown’s Creek Trail is a 6.4 mile paved multi-use trail built on an old railroad leading from downtown Stillwater into the countryside. Start at the trailhead parking lot on the north end of Main Street by the old train depot.

Cover Park

Tennis courts, a skating rink, warming house, and playground equipment.

Gateway State Trail

The former paved Soo Line rail bed runs 18 miles from St. Paul to Pine Point County Park in Stillwater offering mostly flat, scenic riding.

Green Acres Recreation Area

Green Acres has an open hill and not tubing lanes and the snow tubes all end up in a common run-out area at various speeds.

Lake Elmo Park Reserve

Lowell Park

This is the riverfront area of downtown Stillwater where many events are held. Take in a riverside walk or picnic in the grassy areas, view the historic lift bridge from this park.

Pine Point Regional Park

Pioneer Park

Stop by for one of the best view of Stillwater as the park is perched on a bluff on the northern side of downtown. Playground, shelter, BBQ, private rental spaces for weddings and events.

Square Lake Park

Boat launch, beach, scuba diving

St. Croix Boom Site

River site of the log boom from 1856-1914 where timber from upriver was sorted and stored before going to downstream sawmills. Located north of downtown on Hwy. 95 wayside.

St. Croix River Crossing Loop Trail

The St. Croix River Crossing Loop Trail connects Minnesota and Wisconsin over two bridges – historic lift bridge and the new St. Croix Crossing bridge – along the St. Croix river back to downtown Stillwater for a total of 4.7 miles. Park near at Houlton Elementary school (70 Cty Rd E, Houlton, WI54082) on the Wisconsin side or the lot near the new bridge just off hwy 36 on hwy 95 (1315 Main St. S.) or downtown Stillwater in city lots or on street

Teddy Bear Park

An award-winning urban seasonal park is a paradise for young kids. Kids climb on giant Teddy Bears, a giant train, and a crazy tree house with slides. Parking available across the street. FREE and open to the public 8am-8pm mid-April through mid-October.

Trollhaugen Recreation

The ski area consists of 30 trails, including 3 terrain parks.

Valley View Park

Mountain bike trail and an 8-acre prairie restoration.

Wild Mountain

Wild Mountain is a ski and snowboard area.
