DIY STUDIO CRAFTS

The laid-back vibe and scenic beauty of the St. Croix river valley is an inspiration for all creative souls. As you walk through town, see if you can find the historic themed murals featured on downtown buildings and alleyways. We want you to find your inner artist with workshops in DIY studios. Craft your own project using paint, pottery, jewelry, yarn and more. Great for group make and take experiences!

AR Workshop® is a boutique DIY studio that offers hands-on classes for creating custom, charming home decor from raw materials. While you're there, check out the Boutique at AR Workshop to find those special gifts for friends and family.

Art Reach St. Croix

This non-profit promotes visual, literary and performing arts along the St. Croix River. Located across from the Stillwater Library, the light-filled galleries at ArtReach host rotating exhibitions of artists inspired by living along the St. Croix. The shows change frequently and feature ceramics, printmaking, painting, glass and more. View a list of local artists on their website as well and stop into their gift gallery.

Carpe Noctem Candle Co

An extraordinary artisan candle and home fragrance boutique with a pour-your-own candle bar. Stroll and shop for the most unique candles around or create your own signature scented candle by signing up for a workshop.

Darn Knit Anyway

Whether you knit, crochet, wet felt, needle felt, sew by hand or machine we have products and classes that will make you happy. Both the shop and the “Makers’ Lounge” are located in the historic Brick Alley building.

Kari's Paint and Create

Paint your own pottery and canvas studio where you are the artist. All the materials are provided and an inspiring environment for your creativity to flow. Walk-ins welcome – there’s great local coffee so come in and paint! Book your next event at Kari’s Create & Paint Studio – From birthdays and bachelorette parties to showers and school outings – they can host any event, or come on-site at your desired location.

Marquess Studios

Led by a local art-loving, re-purposing junky, Marquess Studios is a unique space to attend creative workshops, order DIY art kits to-go or design custom orders via private appointment. If you are feeling super creative or sentimental, sign your group up for “Junky-to-Funky” where each guest will create a custom design from something out of their own keepsake drawer.
