Nearly 400 photos were entered into the annual Discover Stillwater photo contest, the public voted, and now, it’s time to announce the 3 winners! All winners will all receive recognition on the DiscoverStillwater.com website and Discover Stillwater social media. The photo contest happens annually and both amateur and professionals are encouraged to enter.
The entries showcased a variety of year-round stunning scenes of the Stillwater area. The selections were narrowed down the entries to the top 30 images, then public online voting determined the winners.
Winning 1st Place is an image by Rick Schmolke of a young man reaching to catch a bubble on a beautiful sunny day in Lowell Park.
2nd Place belongs to Taylor McDonald with a winter scene of Main Street that is fit for a movie.
3rd Place has been awarded to Douglas Boehme who showcased a stunning sky echoed onto the water with the Historic Lift Bridge featured.
While the photo contest and the chance to win a prize is just once a year, you can share your images of Stillwater any time for a change to be featured on social media, our website, future ads and publications by emailing the picture to [email protected] Please include your name, photo location, and any other important information in the email for photo credit.
